The plasticity of raw material is an important operation parameter in plastic forming which constitutes the major part of porcelain production. For the formation of plasticity, clay must have no air in it. For this purpose, the cakes taken from the filter presses are first minced under vacuum and consecutively pressed into cylinder with an auger and deaerated clay strips are extruded.
