The ceramic raw materials are kept in suspension after milling and during mixing. This process, the kaolinite based raw material particles, besides being perfectly mixed, disintegrate to their smaller crystals thus increasing the mechanical strength and plasticity of the batch. But during this process, the whole tank has to be constantly agitated to avoid sedimentation and separation of suspensions. Therefore slurry tanks are fitted with continuous stirrers.
Internal cladding of TELLUS slurry tanks are made from stainless steel and its propellers are made from stainless steel or timber depending on the user preference.
